Edgar was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised on Long Island. Edgar started preaching at FBCF in 2021 to the Spanish congregation, and has since evolved into a visiting preaching and teaching pastor. In addition to preaching regularly to the Spanish congregation he teaches courses focused on leadership, spiritual formation, and ministry skill development. His aim is to equip the layperson so that they can serve with greater confidence in the local church.

Currently, he is the Director of the Spanish Bible institute of Long Island with branches in Patchogue and Bohemia where there is a growing student body of 104 students.

He is also co-founder of Iglesia Cristiana Brazos Abiertos, in Medford, New York, where he was the lead pastor for ten years.

Edgar has been married to his lovely wife Elizabeth of 32 years, and has two amazing daughters, Alyssa and Veronica.  Edgar enjoys taking local road trips with his wife Elizabeth to frequent the beautiful towns and beaches of Long Island, from Montauk, to Greenport, as well as Fire Island. He and his wife make it to the shoreline as often as they can to enjoy the sunset and be reminded of God’s mercies, which are new each morning!

He studied at New York Institute of Technology for his BS in architectural technology, and completed his Licenciatura with Universidad Facultad Latinoamericana de Estudios Teológicos, in Miami, Florida.
